Narrative Depth Meets Indie Rock Spirit

Gigi Scott's Creative Journey and Mission

Gigi Scott is a prolific singer-songwriter, musician, and recording artist from Birmingham, Alabama. Her styles blend punk-folk, folk-rock, Americana, and indie rock. She's recorded four studio albums, including many tracks with Grammy winning Swampers in Muscle Shoals, and played hundreds of shows and festivals across Alabama, Las Vegas, and three showcases at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

Off the stage, she was sometimes a university literature instructor, and a published poet.

A lifelong Alabama native, Gigi Scott blends musical experiences and poetry into songwriting, forging a poetic voice shaped by literary themes like Lamia and the Parable of the Cave. Leading the Gigi Scott Band, as well as Trouble Town, the Gargoyles, Haley Bopp, Redrock Junction, Zen Cowboys, and the Candle Wasters, she channels a passionate and distinct blend of Americana, punk-folk, and indie rock, reflecting both personal and universal narratives over a career spanning decades.
